BAFS invite you to an evening in the Grand Hall at Central Criminal Court, The Old Bailey, with our guest speaker Tom Conti and tour of Court Room One to follow with drinks reception.
An evening at the Old Bailey with Tom Conti
Tom Conti, an actor, director and writer, has neither legal nor scientific qualifications but a highly active imagination; an asset in both disciplines. Research for a novel brought him into contact with Tracy Alexander, who informed him of Inside Justice. His father having been ‘interned’ as an enemy alien during the war, the horror of being imprisoned as an innocent was an emotion that Tom well understood. Keen to be of assistance, he is now a Trustee and Advisory Panel Member of Inside Justice.
Tom’s most recent acting roles include playing Albert Einstein in Christopher Nolan’s thriller-drama Oppenheimer. The film had one of the most successful opening weekends of 2023, and received wide critical acclaim.
