This presentation is on Operation Naseby which was a complex two-and-a-half-year murder, burglary, and fraud investigation conducted by Thames Valley Police for which Mark was the senior investigating officer. There are many different aspects to the case which include the covert exhumation of one of the victims, ‘Gas lighting’ of both victims, numerous forensic submissions, and how the elderly are vulnerable in different ways.

Mark Glover retired from Thames Valley Police in May 2018 as a Detective Chief Inspector on the Major Crime Unit, having completed thirty years’ service.

He returned to TVP as a civilian working as a principal investigator (SIO) on the Major Crime Unit where he continued to be PIP 3 accredited, leading investigations into murder and complex investigations into non-recent CSE. Operation Naseby was one of these investigations.

As an SIO he has a wealth of experience in investigating murder, unexplained deaths, manslaughter, rape and complex CSE enquiries, modern day slavery, kidnap and all the issues associated with these types of investigations.

Mark is currently employed as the Crime Academy Manager looking at Detective recruitment, retention, training, accreditation and their welfare.
